    Education for SDGs in the wider community

    Contributing to SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

    1. Career Talk: Career Orientation – Pharmaceutical Marketing

    Continuing the success of the “Career Development with Meraplion” series, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Lac Hong University (LHU), in collaboration with Mega We Care, organized the program “Career Talk: Career Orientation – Pharmaceutical Marketing” featuring a variety of engaging and practical sessions.

    🌻 Time: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2024
    🌻 Venue: Room E501, Campus 3
    🌻 Participants: Students and alumni of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and all those interested in the pharmaceutical and health professions

    Program highlights:

    • Signing ceremony between Lac Hong University and Mega We Care

    • Presentation on “School Health”

    • Career orientation in the pharmaceutical field

    • Seminar on “Pharmaceutical Marketing”

    • Mock interview session

    The event offered students an opportunity to explore real-world insights from professionals in the pharmaceutical industry, helping them shape future career directions and promoting SDG 3 and SDG 8 through education and employability.

    2. Seminar: ZEISS Digital Classroom Solutions

    To provide lecturers and students with hands-on experience of the ZEISS Digital Classroom using the Primostar 3 microscope and Labscope software, the Faculty of Pharmacy collaborated with Minh Khang Technical Service and Trading Co., Ltd. to organize a demonstration workshop.

    🌻 Venue: Hall A301, Campus 1, Lac Hong University

    Participants included:

    • Representatives from Minh Khang Company

    • Faculty leaders of the Faculty of Pharmacy

    • Lecturers from the Departments of Pharmacognosy, Medicinal Materials, Microbiology–Parasitology

    • First-year pharmacy students (Class of 2023) and alumni interested in the topic

    Participants who attended the workshop received official certificates.
    The seminar fostered the integration of digital technologies into teaching and learning, supporting innovation in education aligned with SDG 9 and SDG 4.

    3. Workshop: “Secrets to Building an Impressive CV”

    The workshop “Secrets to Building an Impressive CV” was co-organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy and FPT Long Châu Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.

    🌟 Guest speaker: MSc. Nguyen Trieu Duong Quang, Head of Talent Acquisition, FPT Long Châu

    Students gained valuable insights into how to craft professional CVs and prepare for real interviews—bridging the gap between education and employment opportunities, in line with SDG 8.

    4. Workshop: “Cybersecurity in the Digital Age”

    The Technology Workshop – Special Topic 2: Cybersecurity in the Digital Age focused on the challenges and solutions in modern cybersecurity.

    🌻 Participants: Students and alumni from the Faculty of Information Technology (IT) and all interested attendees

    Guest speakers:

    • Mr. Vo Quoc Thuan, Cybersecurity Expert and International Trainer, Quoc Thuan Co., Ltd.

    • Mr. Le Thanh Tuan, Technical Director – OPSWAT, official distributor of CrowdStrike in Vietnam

    Main topics: Cybersecurity and network systems

    The workshop provided practical knowledge for future IT professionals, contributing to SDG 9 by fostering innovation and digital resilience.

    5. Workshop: “Making Money Online – Easier Than You Think”

    🌻 Time: 8:00 AM, Thursday, November 7, 2024
    🌻 Venue: Hall A301, Campus 1, Lac Hong University
    🌻 Participants: IT students and members of the local community

    Guest speaker: Mr. Vo Van Luyen, Project Manager, Mobile App Division

    Workshop content:

    • Latest trends in online income generation

    • How to become a KOC and create video content following KOC standards

    • Case studies of overnight success stories

    • Hands-on activity: building an online earning campaign

    The session empowered participants with digital entrepreneurship skills, advancing SDG 1 (No Poverty) by encouraging innovative income opportunities in the digital economy.

    6. Workshop: Agile/Scrum

    🌻 Time: Friday, May 10, 2024

    • Morning: 9:00 – 11:30

    • Afternoon: 1:30 – 4:30
      🌻 Venue: Hall A301, Campus 1, Lac Hong University
      🌻 Participants: Students and high school participants interested in IT; mandatory for IT Class of 2021

    Organized by the Faculty of IT in collaboration with Techbase Vietnam, this workshop introduced Agile and Scrum – modern software development and project management methodologies.

    Program highlights:

    • Introduction to Agile and Scrum principles

    • Roles and responsibilities within a Scrum team

    • Tools and techniques: Jira, Trello, Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review, Retrospective

    • Group practice with real-world project simulations under guidance from Techbase VN coaches

    Evaluation and results:
    Students reported a clearer understanding of Agile/Scrum’s importance in teamwork and project efficiency. Techbase Vietnam expressed intent to continue long-term collaboration with LHU to enhance students’ practical exposure to cutting-edge technology.

    7. Seminar: “Generative AI and ChatGPT”

    🌻 Time: 9:00 AM, Thursday, March 21, 2024
    🌻 Venue: Hall A301, Campus 1, Lac Hong University
    🌻 Participants: Lecturers and students interested in the topic

    Speaker: Experts from Techbase Vietnam
    Organized by: Faculty of IT in collaboration with Techbase Vietnam

    Participants were required to have ChatGPT 3.5/4.0 accounts for hands-on practice.
    The seminar introduced Generative AI applications in education and technology, promoting innovation and digital literacy aligned with SDG 9.

    8. Seminar: Sharing Post-Graduation Work Experience

    On June 21, 2024, at Room B203, the Faculty of IT organized a seminar titled “Sharing Work Experience After Graduation” featuring alumnus Hoang Sy Hung.

    The session provided students with practical knowledge, personal insights, and lessons from real-world experiences to better prepare them for future careers—contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work).

    9. Training Program: Enhancing Awareness of Information Security for Government Officials

    On November 22, 2024, the Faculty of Information Technology (LHU) collaborated with the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Office to conduct a training session on “Enhancing Awareness of Information Security for Leaders and Civil Servants” at the Dong Nai Party Committee Hall, with more than 150 participants.

    Objectives and significance:
    The program aimed to provide essential cybersecurity knowledge and practical protection skills for provincial leaders responsible for managing local information systems.

    Participants learned about:

    • The current cybersecurity landscape and common cyberattack threats (phishing, ransomware, cyber warfare);

    • Basic personal and organizational data protection skills;

    • Live demonstrations on incident response and safe data handling.

    The session emphasized both technical and ethical aspects of data security, supporting SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration between academia and local government agencies.

    This initiative demonstrated LHU’s commitment to bridging academic expertise and community service, empowering civil servants with critical digital competencies for a safer, smarter, and more sustainable digital society.
