Covering 124 m² with a total investment of approximately VND 1.1 billion, STEAMHub was developed through cooperation between LHU, STEAM for Vietnam, and On Semiconductor Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Onsemi). The space is equipped with facilities for science and technology exploration and hands-on activities, along with specialized experience areas, accommodating around 40 people at a time.

Designed as an open learning space, STEAMHub gives learners opportunities not only to access knowledge but also to experience, practice, conduct research, and develop ideas in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). The space also encourages self-directed learning, creative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.

In addition to serving LHU students, the facility is also intended for high school students in Dong Nai and nearby areas, providing them with more opportunities to explore science and technology in a hands-on learning environment.

Practical benefits for LHU students and high school students

For LHU students, STEAMHub provides a space for learning, scientific research, hands-on experience in their fields of study, and the development of technology projects. For high school students, STEAMHub offers opportunities to explore science and technology through hands-on activities, helping them gain a better understanding of study programs, career paths, and the skills needed in the future labor market.

STEAMHub is designed to become a community technology library, expanding access to knowledge and technology experiences for school and university students as well as anyone interested in learning and creating. It also serves as a space for sharing resources, connecting learners, and developing community-oriented initiatives.

Through STEAM education, learners are encouraged to think across disciplines, learn through practice, and apply their knowledge to real-world problems. STEAMHub aims to help learners gradually turn their ideas into practical products and solutions.

Toward a STEAM experience ecosystem

Through STEAMHub, the partners aim to build a STEAM experience ecosystem where high school students can explore and develop an interest in science and technology, university students can continue researching and turning ideas into practical projects, and stronger connections can be developed between education and industry workforce needs.

In its initial stage, STEAMHub is expected to offer AI training programs for teachers and students in Dong Nai, before gradually expanding to other fields and areas. The programs will focus on continuous and accessible learning through a combination of learning formats and materials.

Following the inauguration, STEAMHub will regularly organize activities such as workshops, clubs, and STEAM days, giving students opportunities to practice, showcase their projects, and learn from one another.

With the guiding message “Learning through experience – Creating from practice – Connecting with the future”, STEAMHub aims to become a STEAM learning and experience space at LHU, contributing to the development of scientific thinking, creativity, and adaptability to technological change among young people.
